In this exciting subitizing task cards activity, students will embark on providing a rapid,  accurate, and confident judgments of numbers through the use of dice representation. This will make a great addition to math centers. It is designed to teach number sense through mathematical fluency from pre-k through first.

What is it? These are task cards designed to identify groups of dice and being able to recognize the quantity without counting the dots individually.

Who is it for? Pre-Kindergarten through first graders can use this to help them subitize numbers up to twenty.

How to set it up? Once downloaded, cut out each task cards. One can choose to laminate it to prevent them from waring and tearing.

How to use it? Indicated in the video, the student identifies the dots on the dice in groups and then combines the amount to come up with the sum. Answers are marked with manipulatives.
